Current Meter

Current Meter

A current meter is an instrument used to measure the velocity of water or air flow in rivers, canals, or other bodies of water for hydrology, construction (dams, bridges), water resources management, and environmental monitoring, typically with a propeller sensor that rotates with the flow, and then counts the rotations to determine the velocity (m/s). Modern instruments often include a microcontroller for automatic calculation and data storage.

  • ✔ Memory Function: Stores measurement data.
  • ✔ Connectivity: Data port for transfer to a PC or other system.
  • ✔ Power: Batteries (AA, D-Cell) or external DC power supply.
